In this EP I work on bringing afro elements to what some might call that Berlin feeling. This is a fusion of minimal, deep bass and pure african rythms. This is my attempt to give, to contribute something to the world of house, of deep house.

All of these tracks were edited in the early hours of the mornings hence the title. The ideas on how to finish each song came while walking to the metro stops in Berlin in the early morning hours after nights of dancing. At this point I would like to believe my extreme tiredness and exhaustion helped as my conscious mind would have given up on its usual analysis allowing the unconscious mind to complete each project (song).

As always when I make beats I ignore the dance floor. I see music production very much like I do painting however the painting tools in this case are musical instruments and samples. I have no idea still if this music will translate on the dance floor despite my labeling of it as House and this makes me excited because I know its made for the right reasons. If dj's play it and people dance to it then that will be a bonus to the movement of world music on a danceable frame (as we call house) however i believe the substance in the music is there when you just sit and let it speak to you.
